  1. No, but a tilt in Earth's axis is the reason why we have winter and summer each year, and to some extent is the reason why we have ice age cycles (glacial-interglacial periods) every 80,000-120,000 years.

  2. This would be easy to detect.

    I doubt it.

  3. This is actually a good question.

To all those psuedo scientists who don't believe the earths axis is moving - you don't know as much as you think you do.

It's been blamed for ice ages, nobody will question that changes in the earths axis can cause the earth to freeze over, but the suggestion that it could contribute to less than one degree heating in 100 years is just unacceptable to AGW believers.  Their minds are closed to any other possibilities.

The earths axis is decreasing which reduces the seasonal variations.  It has been theorised that cooler summers and warmer winters can causes ice ages, but it's all somewhat speculative.  It's not such a good fit as ice ages seem to be random and not running to a timetable.  The earth tilting could equally well cause warming - the effects are not well understood.

  4. The climate is never static.  The climate always changes.  It could be the axis, it's most likely the Sun.

Either way, man cannot change the climate.

  5. global warming is fake and an international scam click this link and read all the information in it

  6. Yes, there are very slight shifts in the earth's axis that affect the climate. If you check any book on climatology you will see that this is true among many other factors that contribute to climate change, for instance, the eliptical orbit of the earth around the sun, the ocean ridges, the jet stream, and the Gulf stream and other ocean currents. Please read up on this and find out for yourself. There is much more to climate change than politicians or the media would have you believe. The climate has been changing for millions of years  -global warming/global cooling. Pollution caused by humans has added to the change, but the change will continue regardless. The planet rules.

  7. No. There has been no "shift in t he Earth's axis"--nor is there any evidence of one occuring.  That doesn't even rate as "junk science"--its simplly a modern fairy tale.

The cause of global warming is known--and has been PROVEN--it is caused by the rise in CO2 levels in the atmosphere that results primarily from human use of fossil fuels and deforestation.

People need to stop wasting their time and lying about "alternative" theories and focus on the kind of policy changes we need to stop global warming.

  8. Global Warming= Currently happening

Shift in Axis= Not currently happening.

    Do the math.

  9. have you been reading Edgar Cayce?

Apparently the poles shifting is a theory.

Have a look at the link I am giving you for more information.

If you are looking through old prophesies, don't be alarmed, just remember how many of them did not come true. Do what you can in your means to protect and preserve what resources we naturally have. You will feel as though you have more control that way.

  10. Are you really having that much trouble understanding how "global warming" happens,or how the Earth rotates?

Global climate change ,caused by global warming from the human use of fossil fuels,is really happening. Even with all the confusion brought on here by the 'deniers',the world is quickly understanding the reality of AGW! You should too !

  11. No.  A tilting of the Earth is part of the Milankovitch cycles, but this happens over long periods of time, not just decades.  Plus we know about the Milankovitch cycles, and right now we're in the middle of a very stable, slowly cooling portion, not a warming cycle.

  12. The Earth's axis is tilting at a rate of about 25' per year - which would only add slight heat towards one pole and some cooling at the other.

However what some of the AWG 'fans' don't seem to know:

The Earth's orbit also changes the levels of Eccentricity (orbital change)  From:

    http://www.homepage.montana.edu/~geol445...

"The first of the three Milankovitch Cycles is the Earth's eccentricity. Eccentricity is, simply, the shape of the Earth's orbit around the Sun. This constantly fluctuating, orbital shape ranges between more and less elliptical (0 to 5% ellipticity) on a cycle of about 100,000 years."

This will have a small effect on climate, but the Sun's other emissions beyond 'luminescence' will have far greater effect than the 'warmers' will ever understand.

It seems the AWG 'fans' are the True Deniers - they refuse even look at the Sun's magnetic influences on the earth's relatively very thin lithosphere and the release of the huge storehouse of heat into the oceans from within the earth.
