  1. its never too late for anything. i had a cousin who had been to rehab because he was skinny, a druggie and a big smoker  but he came back slim and carried his profession on kickboxing. you just have to try and work hard and hopefully get your gold.

  2. If you are determined enough, you can become a good if not great boxer. Sonny Liston, the first WBA heavyweight champion of the world, started boxing at age 23. By now you should if you're a talented athlete, even if you smoke. I know they say its about fundamentals but its mostly about athletesism.

  3. I want you to start telling everyone who will listen toyou that you are 15 I know that sounds crazy but just do it and tell us a year from now how it helped you. You are the right age to start boxing because you know what you want to do and you can become champion of the worle by the time your 26 after you start don,t look back good luck oh and find a good trainer and tell him what your willing to do to become the best

  4. It's not too late to box but you must take training very seriously because once you step into the squared circle it's on and you can get hurt badly. Do alot of roadwork (running) and you will be in good shape. The military also has a boxing program so if you decide to enlist, you can continue your boxing career.

  5. You may never recover 100% from those seven years of smoking, but your lungs will do a very good job of mitigating most of the damage if you stop now. So, it is really worth quitting and finding out what you can do. Lots of athletes smoke, but it is obviously a handicap.

Do not try to quit alone, but see your family doctor for some professional advice and help.

You are still young enough to follow your dreams, and young enough to quit smoking and reap benefits. If you wake up at fifty and have 92% capacity lungs after having quit now you will be happier than if you continue smoking and have 50% capacity and lung cancer possibly on the horizon.

Whether you decide to pursue sports or not, may I suggest you quit the cigarettes now, with some help.

    Good luck...

  6. It's my understanding that your lungs can heal if you stop smoking before too much damage is done. I've smoked for 18 years but have no breathing problems so you do still have a shot. Stop smoking!
