I heard this statistic quoted one time. Could this be true? Does it matter?

  1. I could be true. It was for me. But no, it doesn't matter, rape is rape.

  2. First off... this is not a very accurate statistic.  Then again, no statistics are.

Where does this supposed statistic apply?  In what context?  I can tell you that if its where I am from, the answer is no.  If its in a black community, well yeah but only because there are more blacks int he community than whites.  Not because blacks are more likely to rape.

I wouldn't spread this statistic around out of context or it will come across as a racial spite, even though that's not necessarily the case.

  3. Well, quote your source and we might be able to tell you.  At first glance, no, it doesn't seem plausible, but if you can give a reliable source we can at least investigate.

  4. I would ask, what she was she looking for in a black neighborhood?

  5. Not true and as such, it doesn't matter.

  6. yes it does matter all i can say is white men are the majority and black the minority so i leave it with you to work out nearly 300  more white men than black   !!!!

  7. Well, no it is not true that a white woman is eight times more likely to be raped by a black man than a white man.  However, black men appear to be disproportionately represented among rapists in comparison to their numbers in the general population.  In 2005, about 44% of the white women that reported being raped were raped by a white man while about 34% were raped by a black man.  Since black males are (I believe) about 10% of the population, it would appear that they are disproportionately represented.  However, it also is pretty clear that white women are a bit more likely to be raped by a white man than a black male.  The caveat to remember is that rape is a crime that often goes unreported and such under-reporting can skew the statistical results.

I am half asian and half white, I was raped by a stranger that was black about 4 years ago when I was 18.  I don't really think that I view black men all as potential rapists. Rather, I think that many might live in situations where rape might be more likely because of economic and/or social conditions.

  8. It could be true, i wouldn't doubt it. I wonder what the ratio is of blacks to hispanics.

  9. Stats are stats.  Unfortunately, the African American community continues to struggle with poverty, and that breeds many types of crime.  If you want to stop this, give money to the United ***** College Fund or some other similar charity.  Education is the answer.

  10. Its not true and it doesnt matter.

That is just a result of viscous racism so the white women would be scared

  11. It's not true.

Most rapes occur within racial groups meaning...blacks rape other blacks, whites rape other whites, etc.
