  1. I believe it was snakes only...Like what did you want him to turn it into ? A kangaroo ? I don't think Pharaoh would have been to intimidated by that to be honest.

  2. Moses couldn't turn anything into anything. It was the power of God that turned that staff into a snake. Not Moses!

  3. its interesting that his opponents were also able to change their rods into snakes

  4. He did it as a snake to answer the pharoah's "magicians" who made snakes appear.  Now it has come to represent "medical" help and is called the "caduseus".  The snake symbol just stuck, I guess.

  5. I guess turning a staff into a snake was just less conspicuous than turning it into a wildebeest or a penguin.  Maybe a snake is just the first animal you learn to do. Like chopsticks for a pianist.  Hey between parting seas and scaling mountains in sandals, Moses had alot on his mind.  Maybe turning a walking stick into a yak wasn't high on his agenda.  And just imagine if he wasn't able to fully control the ability.  One night he is asleep and he accidentally turns his staff into an animal.  A snake is easier to explain in the dessert then a bear would be.

  6. There is a reason men's rods turn into snakes.

  7. It was not Moses changing his staff, it was God, so yes, God could have changed the staff to any animal.

  8. worms, snakes and octopi

isn't that how you spell more than one octopus?

  9. butthead: huh huh... you said staff... huh huh...

    beavis:  yeah, heh heh... boiyoiyoiyoing!!!!!

  10. snakes only...

  11. It wasn't Moses who changed the staff, It was God/Jehovah who did that. And if he could make an animal talk, I would say he can do what he promised in the bible

  12. Larger animals required more "secret" mushrooms.

  13. Just a snake.  That was 3000 years ago.  It might be different now.
