My aunts Pomeranian (It's very hyper all the time) Suddenly started doing a very high pitched bark over and over again until my aunt picked it up and brought it into her room and calmed it down. It is 2 years old, could this have been a seizure?

  1. this doesnt really sound like seizures.  Dogs ussually stiffen up or start shaking/convulsing when having a seizure.

If he's used to only 2 adults.. then it could just be that he was overwhelmed with the amount of people in the room.  Not all dogs are social butterflies.  Next time your aunt has a lot of guests over, she should try to provide the dog with a comfortable place away from all of the company.

  2. Maybe just a hissy fit, especially since your aunt managed to calm it down just by picking it up and giving it what it wanted. Dogs have them just like people do.

  3. Not that I know of, seizures are generally when a dog gets shaky or stiff, eyes roll possibly, high pitched barking is not one sign I know of..Was it attention getting type barking? i hope the dog is okay..

  4. He is probly exited.  If he had seizers he would fall on the ground twiching.
