Already paid two months into it. But I am thinking it isn't all what I thought it would be.

  1. Well, yes.  I know Bally's reports this to the credit bureaus.  So, yes, the possibility is there if it's a different gym, as well.

  2. Yes, it will affect your credit score! If you want out of it you should pay the cancellation fee however outrageous it may be. It is much better than letting something little like a gym membership ruin your credit score.

  3. Yes it will.  That's what "contract" means.

  4. Yes it will affect your your credit. As most gym memberships are contractual so if you quit paying they will turn you over to a collection agency who will put a collection account on your file. You will have to go in and get released from your contract to not have to pay them. To get released you will have to show a valid reason to be released like the cost of travel to their place of business is to expensive or a note from a medical doctor that says you can't do rigorous exercise. Just some ideas.

Bottom line don't just quit paying. Attempt to get out of the contractual obligation of paying so there will not be a negative consequence to you.

    Good luck
