Question:

Could my furture children possibly have blue or green eyes?

I have light brown eyes that are kind of hazely.

My dad has hazel brown that sometimes turn green. like green green. His dad had light green eyes. His grandfather had blue eyes.

My mom has dark brown eyes. And her ancestors mostly had brown eyes.

Since my dad's ancestors have a mix of different colors, is there a chance of my future child being born with blue or green eyes?

This is not homework btw, I just really want to know because that would be wicked cool!

  1. What color your children's eyes might be will depend, in a large part, on what color your husband's eyes will be. And on whether he has a recessive green that might bond with your green gene.

  2. Brown eyes are dominant, so it mostly depends on your husband's eye color. Eye color has many factors that affect it also, but I'm not sure what they all are. The basics are that (B=brown, b=blue, Bb *may*= green) BB+BB=all B; Bb+BB, or BB+Bb = 1/2 BB, 1/2 Bb; Bb+ Bb =1/4 BB, 1/4 bb, 1/4Bb.

The first set is yours, the second set is who you marry, but as I said there are multiple things that affect eye color.

  3. U NEED TO KNO UR HUBBYS EYE COLOR iF HES GOT BLACK OR BROWN i DOUBT THEN AGAIN...
