Okay, can you look at the pictures and tell me if it is possible for my trailer to get knocked over by a strong wind and fall down the giant hill beside it?

  1. Only if there is a tornado...severe straight line winds are 65-110 mph usually. It depends if its anchored right.

  2. Sorry...I cannot see ur other side of the hill.  U can steel bar anchor ur trailer...there's contractor that specialized on anchoring and support for trailers.  Ask around for the prices they will do it for.  Get the best quote and there,  PEACE OF MIND.  I'd be worried more on the earth shift from the top of ur hill pushing ur trailer down.  Depends on the stability of that hill.  Here in the cliffs of Los Angeles...Even houses have that problem of earth shifts....Mother Nature...Very hard to fight it.

  3. The hill doesn't look that steep.  Any mobile home can get tossed if it isn't anchored to the ground well.

  4. People in Florida have special tie downs for their mobil homes which are supposed to make them hurricane level wind proof.  If you are that worried, try to see if they are available in your area.

  5. i dont see a giant hill. it looks like it will stay where it is at.

  6. what hill?

  7. Your safe. As long as it's anchored correctly. If there is strong enough wind than your not the only one that  will have issues.

However anythings possible. if it were me? I wouldn't worry.

  8. USA  What your photos did not show and what you did not state is:  How is the home anchored?  If it is setting on a proper foundation, it will not slide due to gravity or natural ground vibration.  What type of hurricane tie down system is in place?  If it is tied down with the proper anchoring system, it should not move due to high winds.

A licensed installer can tell you if the proper anchors / foundation are installed.  Maybe your local code enforcement office can help.

  9. Anything is possible but I kinda doubt it.

  10. It would take a real strong wind to blow that over. I don't think you will have to worry about it happening all of a sudden. If you get a really strong storm i would just go to the store/movies or get a motel room for the night. If you get really strong storms more then couple times a year.I would looking into other ways of anchoring it down. Your home should have a wind rating. If you get the rating you can look up how many times the wind has ever got up to the speed.
