Could my knee popping painfully mean I'm losing cartilage?

my knee has been popping for a while(im my thumbs) my knees can pop about every five minutes and its pretty painful when they do and my thumb i can just keep bending and making it rapidly pop.

could it mean I'm losing cartilage?

  1. The thumb happens to everyone, the knee on the other may be a problem. I had a problem when i was a kid it turns out playing basketball and soccer can cause people with skinny knees or medium knees can have been misplaced or "popped." THe solution is to ho to a sports store and ask for a knee brace (not medal) or knee pad from the near end of the thigh or right above the knee to the beginning of your calf about right under your knee. hope i helped!


  2. I am a CCMA and my daughter had an operation on her elbow due to this .. Yes if it pops and it is almost like a grinding noise it is lost or loose cartilage and you should see an orthopedist
