My little brother use to have this imaginary friend and he told us his name is Job. He tells us he lives with Allah and that he always sits and eats with us. One day we were playing an Islamic game and we found out that the prophet Ayoub's english name is Job. We all freaked out. What do you think?

  1. Yea, it sounds like jinn but maybe it was an angel, Allah alim. Also, not ALL jinn are bad.

    Can Angels be Seen??

Prophets can see angels in their natural form. Al-Bukhari recorded that A’ishah (ra) narrated that the Prophet (saws) saw the Angel Jibreel (as) twice in his natural form. However, ordinary people (i.e. non-Prophets) cannot see them unless they (angels) take on a visible form. Angels can indeed take a material form, such as that of handsome man.

An example of this is found in the Qur’an where Allah sent angels to give Prophet Ibrahim (as) glad tidings of a son, and then to assist the Prophet Lut (as). Lut’s (as) people, being homosexuals, lusted after these angels, but Allah destroyed the depraved sinners.

    Allah says:

"And verily, there came our Messengers to Ibrahim with glad tidings. They said ‘salaam’ (i.e. greetings of peace). He answered, "salaam..."

    Qur’an: Hud 11:69-83

Also, in the Qur’an, there is the incident in which the angel Jibreel (as) came to Maryam the mother of Isa (as) to inform her that she would miraculously give birth to Isa (as).

    Allah says:

"Then we sent to her our Spirit (angel Jibreel) and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects..."

    (Qur’an 19:17-21)

Lastly there is the famous "Hadith Jibreel" related by Muslim, in which angel Jibreel came to the Prophet (saws) in the form of a man, and asked him about Islam, Iman and Ihsan. This was done in public view, and its purpose was to teach the people about their religion.

Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1106

Abu Darda' reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) stood up (to pray) and we heard him say:" I seek refuge in Allah from thee." Then said:" curse thee with Allah's curse" three times, then he stretched out his hand as though he was taking hold of something. When he finished the prayer, we said: Messenger of Allah, we heard you say something during the prayer which we have not heard you say before, and we saw you stretch out your hand. He replied: Allah's enemy Iblis came with a flame of fire to put it in my face, so I said three times:" I Seek refuge in Allah from thee." Then I said three times:" I curse thee with Allah's full curse." But he did not retreat (on any one of these) three occasions. Thereafter I meant to seize him. I swear by Allah that had it not been for the supplication of my brother Sulaiman he would have been bound, and made an object of sport for the children of Medina.

Hadith - Sahih Muslim 6757, Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, similar narration 6759 by 'Aisha, r.a.

Allah's Apostle  said: There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Allah's Apostle  with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

  2. My little cousin was like that.

She was like 6 or 7 then she tells that there's this old man named Ali. He's nice to her and watches out for her when she plays.

Her family freaked out and never left her alone to play. and they thought it was jinn. (aouth ballah min al shytan alrageem)

    I never believed it.

  3. I don't think so

  4. The word "imaginary" clearly answers your question.

There is no Prophet after Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and if anyone is suggesting that the souls of some prophets still live on earth, then that is Kufr. All the prophets are gathered up in the heavens where they wait till the Day of Ressurrection to be with their followers.

All the Prophets that have come to preach to mankind have long passed away, save Isa (as) who will return to the earth when the Day of Judgement draws nearer and closer to us.

  5. He's probably just pretending....but... watch out for bad jinn they can lie too.

  6. Theres no such thing as imaginary friends. All prophets are dead, except for Isa (AS).

  7. That's freaky, it's prabably just a jinn.
