Well, last night I turned on my other computer loaded fully in the task bar Antivirus was disabled with windows security alerts alerting me to it (This has not happened in a long time I never downloaded things recently...) Then a strange popup pops up and says windows needs to shut down and blah then the window disapears, then another window comes with a countdown then another comes saying "Windows is logging off" then the computer shut down....Which I don't understand I don't do bad things on my computer...Don't have Limewire I don't know if this is a virus or what...Please answer as soon as possible, thanks.

  1. Yes, it appears to be a virus causing the problem.

Limewire is only a P2P program, but don't install it. From my experience, It is a common infection source. Many people get their computer infected while downloading unknown files from the P2P networks.

You may wish to peruse ParasiteDB Disinfection Service:

    http://parasitedb.com/removal.html

They are reliable. For a small fee, you will be able to remove all computer virus/spyware/trojan from your computer - all online! You will get a refund if they do not solve your problems. Trust me this once, they are worth every cent.

Let me know how it goes.

  2. Probably there is an adware, spyware or any other virus in your PC. I have tried many Anti-Viruses but the best one I have found is Malware Bytes. It is a very efficient Anti-Virus and it can clean stubborn viruses in moments. But remember, never keep more than one Anti-Virus in your PC because they fight with each other. So you have to choose the Anti-Virus which is best for you.

  3. wow sounds like you've got a lot of stuff going on with your pc lol.

i've had many, many pc problems in my days, some were somewhat similar to what you have described. i reformat my computer when i cannot find out what is wrong, but here are the steps i go through, which may help you as well:

download and then update - spybot search and destroy. this is a very, very good anti spyware program that will catch things like registry changes and such. when my windows security center was disabled one time, sbybot caught it right away. very good program, and it's free

(just select one of the mirrors to download)

also adaware might be of some help, it is a good partner program to spybot. also a free program/

the final method i use, if all else fails, is use kaspersky anti virus. this is such a good program. i personally believe it beats any other anti-virus program out there.. mcaffee, norton, avg.

the only downfall to kaspersky is, you can only use it for free for 30 days. so you get a 30-day free trial, in which it will scan 100%, and 100% delete malicious files out of your computer. so i only use it in cases of emergency lol. and since i happen to reformat all the time, i can use it one time after every reformat.

    here is the link:http://www.download.com/Kaspersky-Anti-V...

(download.com is a trusted site - so no worries)

if your computer keeps trying to shut down on you, run it in safe mode. if you still need to download the programs, yet your computer keeps booting you off, start your computer in safe mode with networking.

also - so you're prepared, kaspersky's virus scan takes kind of a long time. but it's well worth it. it searches all the places in your computer where those pesky malicious files hide. that is, if a bug or virus is your problem.

best of luck to you.. i hope everything turns out good! ;)

  4. yeah you got one there

  5. Do you have any protection? I would suggest getting a firewall such as zonealarm free version. And for antivirus go for avg or avira which are both free. Also adaware is another good program. To get them just look these programs up at cnet.com and on the website you will find these safe downloads. Hope this helps! :)
