Could my strange periods be a sign of infertility?

It has been a little over 3 months and i still have not had a period. The closest i have got to a period is slightly brown discharge, but it is such a tiny amount i don't need to wear a pad, i just wear panty-liners, and sometimes i need to wear nothing at all! I'm 14 (15 in April) and started my period at late 13. But i have been regular before this so what is wrong? Is it possible I'm infertile?

  1. you should ask a parent to take you to a gynecologist.  it could be nothing or something that requires medical attention such as pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome), which is the leading cause of infertility in women.  you can never be sure so talk to your doctor.  they'll be able to help you much more than someone on yahoo answers.

  2. the best way to know if something is wrong is to go to an OB-gyne. i know of friends who have been like that. they got their periods 3-4 times a year only. it got to be a monthly thing only when she started working. since menstrual periods can also be affected by stress, maybe you also need to check if there is anything causing you to be stressed at this point. in my case, if i get stressed out before my period, my period is delayed. if i get stressed during, i experience prolonged menstrual period (even up to a month).

  3. I dont think that it has anything to do with you been infertile.

I reckon that its because your period is really only just begun and is still 'kick-starting'. but in saying this alot of girls have very light periods.

As for me when mine started, they were very heavy, and now they are light just like yours, but im very fertile.

If you are worried about being infertile, you could always go to the doctor to get a test done for it.

    Hope this helped
