Could patch perfect be used on a desert?

and thought - could it be used to make a desert into usable land?

  2. I'll disagree with your assumption that a desert isn't usable or, more to the point, valuable land in its present state. Deserts are just another ecosystem present on Earth -- change it into a grassland, and you threaten the existence of countless organisms adapted to a hot, arid habitat. Personally, I'd rather not trade in cacti, gila lizards, and naked mole rats for another golf green.

    Also, as the other person pointed out, deserts are usually present in xeric regions -- who is going to water vast tracts of desert, simply to produce grass?

  3. It doesn't work all that well on regular top soil, with regular watering, so I am going to say no.
