I know it's unlikely but maybe to add an element of suprise when he returns instead of randy announcing he'll be at summerslam on sky sports?

  1. My initial thought was "It's a work."  Then WWE.com added the interview and I became unsure. I'm leaning more towards that he wanted an excuse to be off with his family and having '3 months' out will allow him to return whenever he wants, as soon as he's had his break whether that be soon and it'll be a shock or whether he waits out the whole 3 months.

However, normally when an injury occurs such as this you'll find the local papers write up about it, other official sites will report it etc but as of now, ONLY WWE have acknowledged it along with the wrestling spoiler sites that just copy and paste the report. If it is a work to throw us off the scent for a Summerslam return though, well, they haven't done a very good job as that's the first thing we all thought!

  2. Ok, here's the deal from what I know.

    1. The report that was supposedly from Randy Orton actually came from randy-orton.com which is (as the site says in a disclaimer) NOT affiliated with Randy Orton or WWE in any way.

    2. Randy Orton has in fact been overseas for the past week promoting Summer Slam in the UK and Germany.  Sorry if you're from the same town as him, but you didn't see him because he wasn't there.

    3. Orton's daughter was born a few weeks ago and I doubt he'll be asking for time off as he's already been off for three months and has had plenty of time with his new daughter.

    4. No credible news source has reported on the accident.  This includes all national news media outlets as well as local St. Louis news publications.

So there you have it, all of the evidence points to a work.  If you can dispute any of these points with hard facts (aside from Randy may want more time off) then I will consider that this may not be a work.  Until then...

  3. it wasn't one

i was ran off the road last night at 1030 by a car that had its hi beams on and was veering into m lane during a sharp turn a the top of a hill near my home. i had no choice but to crash, and was thrown 300 feet from the concrete block that sent me flying. i was traveling about 30 miles per hour. i'm lucky to be alive. i have some pretty severe skinned up areas such as my left knee right foot, and left shoulder trap. wwe. com should be posting that it wasn't 30 feet but 300 soon. i just called and bitched em out, for the typo. i was wearing a helmet, and if not for that i would have without a doubt been a goner. i see what the extent of my rebroken collarbone is tommorow. ill let you all know. the bike was a harley fat bob, and it was a rental. it is totaled.im happy im alive, and that the bike wasn't mine. all i could think about was my daughter and samantha. God was definetly watching over me!!

  4. After the Cena thing im never beleving how long injuries are anymore lol.

  5. no

  6. Easily it could be a work.

They said Cena was out for 8-12 months when he got injured, and he returned in 4 months. I think it's just to stop fans from predicting that Orton will be at SummerSlam.

  7. I do not know, because Wrestling News has him in Germany.  Where did the accident happen & when, because I have seen no other sites reporting it..

  8. It probably is. Remember when Vince McMahon pretended to die when his limo exploded? And besides they said he flung 300 FT. So he went a whole football field in that crash. I don't know if that's possible or not but I think the whole thing is set up.

  9. I think it's a work, but not so that we'll be surprised to see Orton come back early, but that he asked for some time off to be with the wife and new baby. He had been asking for time off before the injury at One Night Stand. Otherwise it makes no sense that he'd re-injure his collarbone (work or not) and then come back a week later at Summerslam when he's supposed to be out three months. No sense at all.

  10. Yeah. It sure as h**l could be. I like surprises on wrestling.

  11. he announced he was coming back but he didn't know he was going to have a motorcycle accident and i don't think it's a "work" or anything it was just something that happened and now he has to wait like another three month's till he can wrestle again

  12. I really doubt it. If they officialy annouce it on raw tonight, and I don't mean by an announcer I mean like if a superstar comes out and cuts a promo around it saying how Orton is staying out of the picture, then it is possibly a work.

  13. He was just asking for some more time off, he really didn't injure anything, he is expecting a baby (or she is already born) and he doesn't or didn't want to be away for the birth and is going to spend some time at home with her before going back to the ring

  14. He wasn't in Germany! He was in High Ridge, Missouri! I'm from Missouri too so I would know!!!

  15. It's a work. The media would have been all over this thing like flies on... The only sources for the information are wwe.com and RKO's site. People have contacted the local polices departments and no motorcycle accidents have been filed with them for several days.
