Could scholarships be shared?

Question

my boyfirend and I wanna study abroad next semester in England and I was wondering, since we're both applying for scholarships and we both need to raise about $10,000... if he were to only raise about $5,000 and I raised about $15,000, could I give hime 5,000 of mine to make him have enough?

there's still lots of time and applications to go through, but I was just curious...

the only way that it can be shared is if you get a balance back from your school. In most cases, the scholarship goes directly to your school and if theirs money left, they will cut you a check. Scholarships technically can't be shared though...
