Could she be sacked?

my daughter started working for an agency in a factory 5 weeks ago. within two weeks she had 1 day off ill and on friday her lift didnt turn up and she was unable to get there (although she did phone them) what is the likelyhood she will get the sack tonight?

I doubt it, it wasnt her fault and she did phone up, so...

But usually they have to have a good cause to sack someone.

She could be, most companies are trying to get a glimpse of how a person is going to perform in the first 90 days if they think it's not going to work they can sever the ties quickly before it costs to much in training or future medical costs
