Could some one please help me with building a model car?

i have to build a model car for a race...i have no prior tech experience...nor do any of the competitors.

its a race for the freshies of our college.

i plan to use a dpdt circuit....but don't know any think about the design.....please help!!!

DPDT simply means Double Pole Double Throw and is a kind of switch or relay and tells us nothing about the circuit.   And you have told us nothing about the specifications of the assignment - big enough car for a person to sit in?  Limited to a certain size?  Powered by gravity or sling shot or self powered with motor or rubberband?  Requirements as to distance traveled.  Competition to beat other cars or simply to make a car that works by going distance?
