Hey there, my name's Ilya and I'm looking for a part time job as a dishwasher. I know there are better options available but we're not discussing that here right now. Obviously there's a resume required before I can work so I put this one together for now, and I'm not sure what to add/change.

Any help suggestions?

  1. I don't think in 20 years of cooking and managing kitchens I've ever seen a resume for dishwasher.  They will give you a standard form to fill out when you get there.

    It is good though if you can have some personal references.  I usually don't check those though for dishwasher.  Smiling counts a lot though and someone with some energy.

  2. Skills:

    * Ability to wash any type of dishes by hand (Drop this. It sounds like bragging because the question of "How do you know?" comes up. Obviously you haven't washed every type of dish)

    * Operating a dishwasher

    * Physically strong: can carry heavy objects and stand for hours. (Be more specific)

    * Able to work without direct supervision

    * Speak Fluent English and Russian.

  3. This looks like a good resume for a 14 yr old.

    Honestly, I might add "Self Motivated" or something of the sort in there somewhere even though you said you are able to work without direct supervision if they know you are motivated to do things on your own without being told to that might be a plus!

    Best of luck!
