  1. it an eqution by albert einstein show that energy and mass are interchangable  e= energy m = mass C is the speed of light thus energy equals the amount of mass multiplied by the speed of light squared

  2. You can find the best answer somewhere here.

  3. For many years, we believed in the laws of 'conservation of matter' and 'conservation of energy'.  The idea was that neither matter nor energy could be created or destroyed, there was a fixed amount of each in the universe and you could change it but never destroy it.

Well Einstein showed us something.  Apparently, matter and energy are made of the same thing!  And they can be converted back and forth, at least sometimes.  That's what E=MC2 means.  E = the amount of energy.  M = the mass (weight) of the matter.  C is the speed of light.  The speed of light is a very large number so you can see a tiny bit of matter is converted to a very large amount of energy.

In a nuclear fission reaction (like a nuclear power plant or an atom bomb) an atom of uranium splits into two atoms of lead.  Those two atoms of lead contain all the particles that were in the atom of uranium but they weigh less, just very slightly less.  That weight is the matter that was turned into energy when the atom was split.

  4. Mariah Carey's new album!

    :D

    Sorry horrid joke.

    Go here,
