Could somebody tell me the cheapest way to set up a wifi network?

buy a Linksys  router at Wal-mart then just plug into it with normal set up to internet. They are about $30.00

Depending on what kind of setup you want, it could be as low as 40 or 50 bucks, assuming you already have an internet service. If this is mostly for personal use, (not at a coffee shop or in an office building) you just need a wireless router. Linksys, Belkin, and Netgear are good brands to start out with - pretty inexpensive. All you need to do is connect the router to your cable/DSL modem, and you're pretty much set.
