Could someone answer another question about cameras?

Hi i just bought a camera http://www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-Finepix-S1000fd-Digital-Optical/dp/tech-data/B0011ZK6ZM/ref=de_a_smtd and was wondering if by looking at its specs if i should be able to get some high quality pictures out of it. Also is the lens a "good" size? Thanks

that's the same model I have, the pics are great and the lens is good quality check out some pics.

Personally i don't know but Canon has real high quality pics.
