  1. The all seeing eye is tied to many things the eye of Ra, or the eye of Odin but mostly associated with the secret organization of the Illuminati.

  2. Its the illuminati eye. The all seeing eye. It symbolizes the pyramid of the human food chain. The top part with the eye representing the few that "keep an eye" on the lower parts of the pyramid. Its basically a big brother type deal.

  3. The Eye is the symbol used by an ancient society (Masonic Symbology) for the leading edge of what is envisioned to be built by the builders who created the pyramids.  The ancients believed that the keys to an enormous treasure lay in the passage rights of a secret society.  Mans efforts have resulted in many great buildings, but far greater things have yet to be realized.  See "National Treasure" with Nicholas Cage for more info.

  4. its big brother watching you

  5. It's the symbol of the Freemasons Most of our founding fathes were freemasons.Ever see the movie National Treasure.

  6. It's a mysterious symbol.  The All-Seeing Eye can be interpreted as the eye of God, watching everything.  People have also associated the "eye in the pyramid" as a symbol of the Bavarian Illuminati, a shadowy conspiracy group.  Volume 1 of the "Illuminatus!" Trilogy (by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson) is called "The Eye in the Pyramid" -- you may want to check it out and read it if you're really curious.

  7. The most probable explanation is that the triangle represents the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and the eye is the all-seeing eye of God.  In some cases the triangle is a pyramid, and the symbol could mean the stability and permanence of the pyramid.  While it is not necessarily a Freemason symbol, you will find it associated with Freemasonry.

The man who designed the US currency with the pyramid and eye was not a Mason, though of course George Washington , Ben Franklin, Paul Revere and others were.  More than likely King George III of England was too.

Masons claim to be originally based on stone mason lodges, which were a kind of trade union.  There is a lot of evidence that this is actually true.  Stone masonry was invented in ancient Egypt, and the most obvious productions of the old Egyptian masons were the Great Pyramids.  Stone masons claimed that the basis of their craft derived from an Egyptian  original, and if you think about it, that is probably true.  So Masons continue to use the pyramid symbol.

But the same could be said for carpentry, weaving, ship building, pottery and dozens of other trade skills that have been built up over thousands of years though not necessarily from an Egyptian original.

The Illuminati was a branch of Freemasonry invented in Bavaria by Adam Weishaupt and banned about 10 or 15 years later.  It was one of several different versions of Freemasonry invented in the 18th century, mostly in Western Europe rather than the United Kingdom and most of which are now forgotten.  It had little  influence outside Bavaria, there was a small group in France in the 1790s. By 1815 it had collapsed.

In general, British and American Freemasonry is barely esoteric and far from occult and generally rejected the Illuminati mysterifications.
