Could someone give me a relatively short list of endangered species?

My students are going to do reports on endangered species and I need a relative short (approx. 30) list of some popular endangered species that they would be able to find books about in the library. I have looked online but all I have found are websited that list ALL of the endangered ones that there are some bizarre animals that they won't be able to find too much info on. Thanks!

Here are a few though I suggest picking ones that interest you since you will be reading about them.

well, it gets longer and shorter every so often, which means one of two things, either they are no longer on teh planet, or they are doing better and are moved "up?" to the threatened list.

You have to decide if you want worldwide, or country specific.

There is a difference!
