Could someone help me find a modeling agency?

Question

In the Sarasota area? Something reputable I'm willing to drive a bit out of the way.

Do my measurements sound good I've done some things before:

6'1

145 pound (very lean with muscle tone)

High defined cheek bones

Dark hair a few inches long

Braces come off in a month

Very little acne

Do you think I'd need to have a professional shot done or would they possibly see my potential?

They are GREAT!! They dont make you pay thousands of dollars for classes or headshots. Thy pay for it all and they book me plenty of jobs.

You will need a portfolio.  There are more candidates than open positions.  In my area the modelling agency with the best results also holds courses.  You have to know the basics on how to conduct yourself (posture, etc) in front of the camera on your own.  Without course(s) and a portfolio, you will not have much success.

As for choosing the right place, check out their websites or go to them.  In Google search or Yahoo copy and paste the bottom phrase to get the ones in your area:

"Modelling Agency" AND "Sarasota"

Ask for specific models' pictures and where they posed.  If you recognize those shots from magazine or TV advertisements for a product(s), you will know that they deliver.  Word of mouth helps too.
