If you could, leave your email address and I will send you photos of the gun. But for now I'll give you a little description. The name on the gun is " Remingtion Armory" the date on the gun is "1917" and it is a Bolt Action Rifle.

  1. No need for pics

It's a Remington made Mosin Nagant Model 1891

They were made on contract to the Czar from 1915 to 1918 The Czar was overthrown in 1917 and the contract was defaulted on and the remaining rifles were eventually dumped on the civilian market in the late 20's

There is a good chance that your gun never saw Russian soil

Here is some interesting history on your gun

    http://www.mosinnagant.net/USSR/US-Mosin...

Value of a pristine rifle with matching numbers would be around $250

Mismatched or poor condition it could go as low as $50 or $75

If it is one of those rechambered to 30-06 it is unsafe  worthless as a shooter

I see I have some TDs

    Here's a hint

How many modern guns were ever marked

    Remington ARMORY

    Still lost

OK How many were ever marked Remington ARMORY 1917

    Give up?

  2. without a picture I cant tell.  But 1917 was the year remington made mosin nagants.  Yes,  America made Mosin Nagants.  Only for a short time though.  Like I said and everyone else.  There is no way to know without a picture.  Or without knowing what sized bullets it eats.

    If it looks like this

Its a M91,  American made Mosin Nagant

  3. In 80 - 85% it will be worth about $1,000 - assuming it is a Enfield P17.

  5. Well send me the pics and I'll see what I can tell you. Just a quick off the cuff guess is that you have a P-17 Enfield Rifle manufactured under contract with Remington, they were also built by Winchester and Eddystone.

  6. Awaiting your photo of rifle.* Its a Mosin Nagant.*
