2. a circle has area pi(x^2 + 6x + 9) Find the circumference.

3. Find the area of a square that has a perimeter of 6n + 4.

4. A parallelogram with an area of 6x^2 + 7x + 2 has a height of 2x + 1 . Find its base.

5. Find the maximum polygon area that can be enclosed with a rope that is 8c long.

6. A circle encloses a square with sides of length 2x. find the area and perimeter of each (the circle and the square.

  1. 2) pi r^2 = pi (x-3)^2

    Thus r = (x-3) (This has to be positive so ignoring (-) sign while taking root)

    Circumference = 2*pi*r = 2 * pi * (x-3)

    3) 4l = 6n =4

      l = length of square

      l = 3/2n + 2

    Area = l^2  = (3/2n +2)^2

    6) here diameter of circle = length of a side of square.

    Thus radius of circle = x

    Area = pi * x^2

    Permimeter = 2 * pi * x

    Area of square = 4x^2

    Perimeter of square  = 8x
