  1. hi Mary, here...

to change the unit is not hard,

you need to know how to convert this basics unit.

    1 kg = 1000 g

    1 m^3 = 1000000cm^3

    so,

    density of water = 1.0 g/cm^3 =

    1.0 g = 1 / 1000 kg

    1 cm^3 = 1/1000000 m^3

    then...

    (1/1000)/(1/1000000)= (1/1000)  x (1000000/1) = 1000 kg/m^3

    done ..see ya.

  2. 1 g=0.001 kg =10^(-3) kg

    1 cm^3=10^(-6) m^3

    then

    10^(-3)/10^(-6)=10^3

    then 1000 kg/m^3
