  2. There isn's a mountain god called Apus. Their major divinity was Inti or the Sun god. The Apus are just sacred divinities from which the Incas called in for purification and protection during their special ceremonies liked the Inti Raymi celebrated every June 21st.

    Nowadays, when you go to Cuzco, you can ask for a chaman to do a special ceremony involving the Apus, that is, calling for these divinites (such as earth, water air, etc) to protect and guide you in life.
