Could someone show me a picture of a gold vein?

    Gold occuring in quartz veins can look like gold or be grey because of silver content.

    The veins I have seen were very narrow stripes of quartz in the surrounding rock and had little gold in them in the area of Lake City, Colorado. Most were worked some during a gold rush but few were ever very profitable in that area to my knowledge and were abondoned.
