  1. ok

    kilobytes (KB)

    Megabytes (MB)

    Gigabytes (GB)

    1000 kilobytes = 1 megabyte

1000 mega bytes = one gigabyte

Now when you are dealing with memory on computers such as RAM and hard drive

    1024 KB = 1 MB

    1024 MB = 1 GB

  2. Well its easy. There is 1,024 bytes in one kilobyte, so then 1,024 kilobytes equals 1 MB (look at the chart below).

    1 KB * 1024= 1 MB * 1024= 1 GB * 1024= 1 TB, so on.

  3. well if you look at a physics table, there are prefixes for numbers that are multiples of 10.

    a k means, 1000

    an M means 1 000 000

    a G means 1 000 000 000

    so if you have say.. 35 G, it means, 35 X 1 000 000 000 = 35 000 000 000..

basically, you use the letter like the number it represents.. in this case, 1 000 000 000 for G, or 10^9.

    So a kB is 1024, a MB is 1024 000 a GB is 1024 000 000 , so basically 1000 more each time from k, M and G.

it can get more complicated if you want to talk about computer memory and such.. but the basic idea is that..
