Could someone tell me how to find a local Dungeons and Dragons board playing group in Adelaide, SA?

Have always wanted to try to play Dungeons and Dragons (or similar) but don't know how to get into a local group.

Try your local hobby/bookstore because some places have posts of groups looking for players. You could look up a D&D forum and post that you're looking to learn how to play is another way.

You can go to local Game and Comic Stores, there are typically plenty of gamers there.

Also local colleges tend to have an RPG group or two floating around.

Another thing to try is the net.  Wizards of the Coast's D&D forums have a gamer classified section with locals go to find games.

Also Meetup.com and Penandpapergames.com have boards set up strictly for finding local D&D groups for people.

Another thing as well is Yahoo groups.  There are quite a few country spaning groups that others have met up through.  DND_Contact is one of them (If i remember the name correctly)

You could check out http://nearbygamers.com/ and look for people in your area.
