looking for a film which is set in a boys private school which is taken over by men who wire up the school wire bombs so noone can get out. until they get what they want.

was a great film ....but i was biased back then being a goonies fan

I think you mean Toy Soldiers a film from the early 90's.

It had Sean Astin, Wil Wheaton and Louis Gossett Jr. in it.
