Could spagnum moss be able to go in a bearded dragon cage?

  1. you could but moss is usually more jungle fauna that hold moistoire in well i would go with steralized playsand.


  2. Please don't! Reptiles cannot digest sphagnum moss and it can wrap around their intestines and kill them! Reptiles or amphibians should never have moss at all in their cage. If you are looking for a substrate goto WalMart and get Non-Adhesive shelf liner. It costs about $8 bucks and will last a lifetime!

  3. I suppose, but why? Moss is mainly used to up the humidity in tanks, and as Bearded Dragons are desert animals that is really unnecessary and it wouldn't fit in the desert theme o the enclosure.
