Could sugar beet shreads be made into a heating pellet for a residential/commerical pellet stove?

I'm wondering about the possibility of this as an alternative to wood based heating pellets.

  1. Probably not, it might mess up the pellet stove. You will get big balls of carbon or carbon floating around in the stove. Very messy and hard to clean up. Sugar decomposes down into carbon.


  2. better of to use it for ethanol production and then the fibre material left over could be dried and formed into pellets
