I had some very severe back pain so I took some ibuprofen as it works better than panadol, could this have caused my miscarriage. I already had very low HCG levels.

  1. I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope that you are not blaming yourself for losing your pregnancy. From personal experience, I know that it's very easy to blame yourself but this was not your fault. Tylenol is the only medicine (so I'm told) that is safe to take while you are pregnant. Unfortunately, you levels were already low so it was only a matter of time. I don't know if this was your first or not, but it will take you some time to get through it.

I truly wish you the best.

  2. No, it just happens.

  3. i was always told by my ob/gyn to take tylenol when i had aches and pains in my last 2 pregnancies. plenty of things could have triggered it.

  4. I HATE in capitals Ibuprofen anytime I don't use it I don't trust it I despise it.should get it of the market.

  5. Ibuprofen is not safe during pregnancy - it may have helped things to lead the wrong way, but if your levels were already down there must have been some thing wrong- Panadol is the only thing u can have during pregnancy -

  6. I am so sorry for your loss.  Please know that this is not your fault.  If your hcg levels were low in the first place the pregnancy was destined to end.  The horrible backpain was probably the start of your miscarriage.  Please do not blame yourself.  You did nothing to cause what has happened.  I know the feeling of loosing a baby, and the last thing you need is to add unwarrented guilt to your grief.  Again I am sorry for your loss.  I read this poem when I lost my pregnancy.  I hope it can bring you some comfort.

"An angel came down from heaven to write my baby's birth.  As she closed the book, she whispered to beatiful for earth."

  7. There is no way of ever knowing what causes a miscarriage. I'm so sorry for your loss, please know that nothing you did or didn't do could have changed the outcome. Some mothers take drugs, smoke, drink and do all the no no's and go on to have healthy babies. Other people will do absolutely everything perfect and things go wrong. Unfortunately it's just the way it is. I wish you all the best, I too have lost a child so I know what a hard time you would be having right now my thoughts and prayers are with you, please don't analyse this and try to blame yourself it's not your fault.
