According to the media the city of Denver is going to issue zoo passes, movie tickets and some other stuff. Someone on here said they would also give them popcorn.

To a homeless a person there is a reason where they stay. much of the time for safety. If they are moved someowheee sle, who is to say it would be as safe Aslo some of them have mental problems and that would be the worst thing to do. maybe the state could appeal to them,to allow them to help them.

  1. The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:

        * Your First Amendment rights - freedom of speech, association and assembly; freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.

        * Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, s*x, religion or national origin.

        * Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake.

        * Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs.

So, they would step in if any laws were broken that went along the lines of their mission.

  2. Big cities do this all the timie! Sometimes in th ewinter, they even put them in hotels!

  3. The state is not permanently moving them....they're just trying to hide them for a couple of days.

  4. Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?"

  5. They would have to be black for them to care.

  6. How can they, they'll be at that convention, voting for there socialist.

  7. The ACLU doesn't have any interest in helping the homeless people.  The ACLU is only in the business of telling others that they are responsible for helping them.

  8. When a political party chooses a venue for their convention they should have to take it "as is." No relocation of "undesirables", no out of the ordinary sprucing up the city, etc. And by the way, if the Dems are so concerned about the economically downtrodden and about global warming, why are they spending millions on the convention itself, and not giving the money to the homeless, and why are all the delegates traveling great distances by fossil fuel burning conveyances to attend the convention?

    Can you say hypocrite?
