  1. There are many hoax out and about and many would do it for attention or to get rumors started. Many of these types of things come from old folklore and stories. Not to say that there is some amount of truth present. creatures are found new everyday. We know that no one has ever caught one or even captured a good photo. But this too does not mean they do not exist. Creatures that are more animal (or all animal) know how to avoid people. Take the deer, they can blend in so well and for the most part will see you long before you know they are there. If such a creature does exist then you can bet it knows how to avoid humans and it can blend in with it's environment. Keep in mind we are humans and although we have advanced a lot through time we are still learning and finding new and exciting things.

  2. The abominable snowman is part of a field known as cryptozoology, which roughly means, fake zoology.

Lots of people like to pretend that there is some kind of monster. He gets famous, and the surounding area gets a legend that they can attract tourists with.

It is the same with the Lochness Monster, the Mothman, Chubacabra, and all sorts of monsters that people have made up for book sales, and tourist attractions.

The question is, have they ever found a dead body? Hair from a creature they cant identify? Anything other than footprints? I would think someone would have photographed one, or done a documentary where they get accepted into the abominable snowman group, and show how peaceful they really are.

  3. It might have been real. But it would have just been nicknamed a snowman. It was probably a large bear(polar) or a panda or something.

  4. Yep, of course

  5. Check with his parents and siblings. After doing so, check in at the nearest nuthouse.

  6. if you think its real it is real. i believe in big foot why not the

    abominable snowman

  7. Yes, but it would be an abomination.

    .

  8. Stan:  "Dude, dolphins are intelligent and friendly."

Cartman:  "Intelligent and friendly on rye bread with some mayonnaise."

  9. He could be real.There's a possibility.More likely it's a hoax.Who would hoax it?If I were a guide making a living leading cryptozoologists into the mountains.Or a practical joker like the Bigfoot guys.Me.

Why doesn't Yahoo spell check recognize criptozoology as a word?Maybe it's not one.

  10. You're way over thinking it.

The people that 'find' it...are the one's hoaxing it. If it were real, that'd be cool, but I doubt highly there are Snow Yetti's. People playing on the idea that some people "really" want to believe it is true, so the hoaxes and lies continue. If one were ever found...I'd be the first in line to say I was wrong. But I want hard physical proof...not a bunch of supposed found foot prints.

  11. i don't know, but, you sure bring up a good point.

  12. Anything is possible.  If you believe in logic and rationality, the next step is to look for evidence.

As a practical matter, you should also look for ulterior motives.  For example, the Loch Ness Monster always seems to reappear when hotel and pub owners in the local district have had poor seasons.  :-)

    .

  13. sure.........the abominable snowman and bigfoot!  Lots of people would do a hoax of that kind, just for the fun of it.

  14. It is possible, maybe a missing link or something. It could be possible that someone with no life is making those large foot prints too.

  15. I would have to say yes there is a possibility. Think about it evolution could have made a creature with lots of fur to survive cold temperatures, maybe it's a close relative of Big Foot. Who knows???

  16. sure he could be real.  there are lots of things we don't know about this world, and we are discovering new things everyday.  there is a possibility of plenty of things existing.

  17. Maybe I guess. Maybe an over grown bear, or something of the sort. Kind of like the Lock Ness, most people think of it as a sea beast when it's accually a 40-foot long eel.

  18. It is easier to put a few fake footprints out then create elaborate crop circles for no reason...but people do it and write books on how they did it.

Humans are a funny lot.  A practical joke is reason enough to do a lot of things.

  19. There is evidence that Neanderthals lived in remote parts of Spain until 25,000 years ago.
