Could the leafs trade Sundin's rights in exchange for Michael Ryders rights?

i really see Ryder coming to Toronto (either that or Edmonton) and it would be an awesome trade IMO to get Ryder's rights in exchange for sundin's (who, let's face it.. will end back up with the leafs anyways).

i like the idea, because i like Michael Ryder. Even though he had a bad season, everyone bounces back. k except for Segei Samsonov. i hate him lol.

  1. they shouldn't take mike ryder at all. i actually don't like the way this is going especially with the deal they have so far where we get a 2nd round pick from montreal.

    wtf?

  2. They're both free agents in a week. Why pay for something you can have for free?

I can't see the Leafs being too hot on Ryder, they already have Steen and will probably retain Wellwood and Stajan for their third line. They need to improve the top 2 lines and I don't see Ryder as an improvement over the incumbents.

  3. man toronto or whatever team can just wait till free angency i love ryder and i hope he comes back to montreal but that aint going to happen...

so yah hes not going to go that fast in the free angency cause of the season  he had

  4. I think it would be smart of them to, but I want Pittsburgh to go after Ryder, so NO. lol

And I'm not hiding in dark caves...........I'm hiding in a hole. =b

  5. They better not do that!

They are most likely going to trade Higgins & another player/players for Sundin,

which I think is a bad move.

I want Ryder to go to The Penguins :)

Should the Leafs do that, NO.

They should spend their money on a Center.

  6. The leafs really backed themselves into a wall.  I don't know why they were pushing Mats so hard to get out.  The man is an absolute monster, and no trade they can make will match his production and talent
