  1. Actually, time travel does exist - it's just in its infancy. By working with atomic clocks, scientists have been able to verify that they can send itsy bitsy need-a-microscope things through time.  However, the power needed is off the chart, making it impractical, at least in the near future.

  2. That picture of the Calabi-Yau shape at the link you give looks just exactly like the ball of wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey .... stuff .... that the Doctor described for Sally Sparrow in the series 3 episode "Blink."  If string theory is finally catching up to Gallifreyan physics and understanding of time and time travel, then we must be on to something.

(In plain English for those who don't watch British sci-fi:  If there is a way to break the barriers that presently prevent time travel, string theory's just as good a next step as anything else.  The sci-fi writers are already there and when our scientists catch up to them, the writers will be far away onto the next big idea.)

  3. Maybe.... anything is possible  ;)

  4. Since time travel doesn't seem to exist, I don't see any reason for anyone to try and explain it.
