  1. The greenhouse effect is the capture of heat from solar radiation in within our atmosphere.  Without the greenhouse effect, global temperatures would plummet.

While humans would be able to survive for a period because of clothing, heating, etc., the food sources of humans would not.  Plants would die, animals that eat the plans would die, and then humans would die.

Smaller, microscopic life would likely still exist, using the energy from the core of the Earth, such as lithotrophs living on the volcanic vents on ocean floors.

  2. The average temperature of the earth's surface at present is 15 degree celcius. It has been calculated that this value will be -18(minus 18) degree celcius without the greenhouse effect. So, life(as in the poles) is possible.

  3. Just how big is this Greenhouse ?

  4. Without a greenhouse effect, food would be much scarcer and it would indeed be colder. The effect is mainly caused by water vapor and not polution, yet there are places on the planet where the sun will still warm up the planet.

  5. It would be possible, but it would be much more difficult.  The Earth would be a significantly colder place without the greenhouses gases that it does have, with much of the water likely frozen.

  6. It is possible, but very difficult too.It will take generations to make all the people understand the harms of greenhouse effect
