  1. No. It is not possible.

Do not get confused by Science Fiction. Because it makes a good

story, does not mean that it is real, or that it is possible.

  2. No, it's not possible.

  3. There is probably not another world exactly like ours but there probably is a planet similar to ours somewhere out there!

    Hope this helps ya!

  4. I am not familiar with timeline but our world is like a fingerprint--nothing will be exactly like it,but if there was a world out there that had a similar atmosphere and gravity, and was a similar distance from a heat source such as our sun, then why not?whether or not it produced any life  is another question and, if it did, there is no guarantee that it would have evolved as we did ,as that part of a planets evolution is very hit and miss I believe

  5. *Exactly* the same?  Not hardly.  Not even close to hardly.

Very similar to ours?  Yeah, there are probably many planets in the universe that have civilizations with histories that parallel ours in many respects.  Probably even a lot of species out there that resemble humans (bipedal, binocular, etc.) .

  6. I haven't read that book, but I have read some amazing stuff. It would shock me if there wern't billions of worlds like ours.

  7. Well, depends on how liberal you are with the theory of multiple universes....  In that book, the scientist who developed the machine *counted* on the fact that one of his 'other selves' had developed the means to make time travel possible.

There's one view that says if you *do* go back in time (or forward), you can't possibly visit the *same* universe.  So, whatever you change in the past - it was  *supposed* to be changed by you - and it won't affect the future of *your* universe, because you haven't been in *your* past.

    weird, huh.

  8. Really it is possible that there is a warm planet out there with marginally intelligent life on it like ours. But the chances of it being exactly like ours are pretty slim, like 1 in 9999 bajillions. But I think we are glorified apes, especially if you look at the spelling and grammar on this site. So I don't think we are so special as to be the only game in town, but I doubt we have any twins.
