If all employees could be taught some basic suck-up techniques, I'll bet these shootings would stop.

Suck-ups report having very positive workplace experiences.

I think the Bush/McCain machine is going to use that as an  election slogan.

When I worked for the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, they would have surveys concerning employee opinions and morale. The survey was handed out to selected employees and always showed lower, middle and upper management to be on the verge of godhood.  We were assured that the surveys were 100% objective. But it kind of blew it when the results for the last survey were released before the question sheets had been handed out.
