Could they have gotten Bin Laden's whereabouts from his driver in exchange for leniency?

  1. If he knew, he'd have given him up for the reward and retired free.


  2. The driver doesn't know anything, he's just a patsy. I don't recall us imprisoning Hitler's chauffeur or his bunker staff back in WWII, this is simply a case of Bush going after the little guy purely out of spite. Who are they going to go after next, Bin Laden's janitor?

  4. No. The man has been in GITMO for 6 years, any info he had they would have beaten it out of him already.

  5. Unlikely. The driver's been in custody for years. I'm sure bin Laden is avoiding all the places his driver knew, just in case.

    In any event, even if the driver knew, what makes you think he'd give him up, *knowing* that to do so would be get a few years of freedom while on earth but lose an eternity in paradise in exchange?

    Remember, religious fanatics don't see such a trade off the way others might.
