I don;t know all the symptoms. But quite most of my life, one minute i could be so happy, and then suddenly i can slump into a deep depression and snap at people, and then i could be all happy again!

It really gets to me but i can't talk to my mum about it cause she just thinks i'm a Hypocondriact, which means i think there is always something up with me

  1. People with bipolar don't just get happy and sad suddenly (in most cases anyway), they go into deep depression for weeks or months and then debilitating mania for weeks/months. I'm sure you're a hypochondriac. :) Lol.

  2. It sounds like hormonal mood swings to me, but you might want to ask your GP the next time you go in for a check up.

  3. you probably are

    or ur pmsing

more of the time bipolar is period, long periods of MONTHs

  4. That is a few signs, but i am bi-polar and ADHD, and it doesn't go to good together. But still, my mom also thought i was a hypocondriact until we went to the pshycologist and he diagnosed me with bi-polar disorder, so tell her to take you to a pshycologist or psychiatrist. They helped me and put me on meds :)

  5. It could just be mood swings or PMS for some people

  6. Maybe there's residual sadness over the loss of something or someone during your early childhood; maybe an incident occurred that you can't reconcile with the rest of your life. What's really beautiful, Stephy, is that you know something's wrong and you're humble enough to say it; you have a great potential for being helped. There's a possibility your folks aren't telling you something they know for fear that it may hurt you more, or in the hope that your problem will go away and you'll be okay. That happens a lot and parents omit information with the best of intentions. Sometimes it works but most times it doesn't. Have a heart to heart talk with your mom in a way that she realizes you're going nowhere unless you get some information. You may find out a few useful things, but brace yourself, it could be tough. I will pray for you. Best wishes.

PS: the right spelling is hypochondriac.

  7. Being diagnosed bi-polar is something a qualified professional has to do. It's not a cut and dry illness. Look at this link http://mysite.verizon.net/res003jh/lithi...

You should probably see a doctor. I mean if you had a growth sticking out of the side of your head, you'd see a doctor. Just because you can't "see" a problem that is mental, doesn't mean that it's no less of a problem.

  8. Your a girl, I'm a girl and we all have mood swings. I can have pretty bad mood swings actually, and sometimes I can feel a little depressed but it doesn't mean you have bipolar. Bipolar is when you have a chemical imbalance in the brain. There are so many symptoms and it seems like you don't have them. Someone with bipolar can go from happiness to sadness in a click of a finger, they can have really good idea's about something and want to do things, they can spend too much money as as crazy as it sounds they can feel really good about themselves (sometimes too good) other symptoms would be aggression and anger. You can go to your doctor and take a test. x

  9. the first thing is that nobody on yahoo answers can diagnose you because it's impossible. you would have to talk to a professional who will give you an answer after getting to know you.

but what i can say that the difference between mood disorders and hormonal feminine moodiness is that when you've got a disorder the state you're in is prescientlcontinuousus and messes up your life big time (as in it disturbs your relationships andunables you to lead a "normal" life-whatever that is). This may be a Bi-polar dis. but mood swings are happening in a vast numbers of psychological disorders like Borderline personality disorder for example-especiallyy when the change of the mood is rapid and you go from feeling down suddenly without the reason and then you go to be manic-feeling absolutely great, energetic and then you go down feeling down again. If that's what's been happening for a long time and you can'tcontroll it go and talk to your GP, that should help.

    good luck!

  10. I doubt it. I mean, this could be anything. Maybe you're happily reading a novel but then your mom yells at you to clean your room and you snap at her, mistaking it for depression. Or maybe you're constantly surrounded by people who annoy you.

If this really bothers you, go to an actual doctor.
