Could this be a computer virus?

Question

every once and a while my computer makes this loud beep sound

like the beep you hear when someones about to come over a speaker and talk like in a store or over an intercom like at school? or something

i have my battery plugged in and its not about to die or anything!

it freaks me out!

does anyone know what it could be?

It could be when the computer is not allowing you to do something because you are doing something wrong.  Usually this happens for many different things including pressing other buttons when the computer is opened to something that you cannot type on.  If you try to do something that cannot be done, the computer makes a loud beeping sound.   Other than this i cannot think of another explanation except for if it is a virus.

Run a scan with a anti virus program just to be sure.
