Question:

Could this be an orb?

I took these pictures recently, 7/26/08 to be exact. So could this be an orb? Notice how the second picture (which was taken within seconds) nothing shows up? Now if that's dust, why didn't it show up in the second pic, and that would of had to been one big dust ball!!

  1. yea and i looks like it was moving...there's a slight movement blurr.

I had the same thing where I took a series of pictures of the same thing and the ones direcly before it had nothing and then the next one had orbs...about twenty.  then the next nothing.

that's what made me think it couldnt be dust.

  2. yeah thats an orb! a couple come up in my pictures i take in my living room and when i retake the picture int he same place they are gone

  3. it could be, but as the subject seems to be in a basement, i am guessing dust.

  4. It could be the flash of the camera.

  5. As an investigator I don't put much belief into orbs. There are far too many things that can explain them away. Dust, reflections dirt on a lens.

  6. Because dust moves around. It is floating in the air, so you would expect expect to see it in one photo but not another.

  7. Orb? No.

    Dust? Yes.

That dude in the pic needing an attire makeover? OH h**l YES!

  8. If it is an orb (which it might be) then it's a very weak orb. Size doesn't really matter for orbs, it's more about their brightness, and this one doesn't have much brightness. Therefore if it is you have nothing to worry about.

  9. Looks photoshopped to me

  10. ull never really know cuz it could just be dust

  11. At first it looked like a lens artifact. It is awfully dim for being so close. Orbs however, come in many different brightnesses depending on the amount of energy they contain. I can see under magnification the typical structure of an orb. Notice the honeycomb pattern. Also, orbs are never perfectly round, they tend to be a little bit lopsided. If a orb appears perfectly round, it is generally just an artifact. It is of my opinion that this is indeed a genuine orb.

  12. Could be, especially since it's not in the second pic, *but* dust floats, so it could have just been out of the second one.

From my knowledge, orbs tend to be brighter.

  13. orbs usually look very particular, they have one large ring in them or 2 rings inside of them, thats how you can differentiate from light tricks, dust, bugs, etc.  Taking an up close picture with a digital produces this fake effect, with video's it's flying patterns  and to the best of  my knowledge orbs are usually not white in color, they can be all different colors.. This one doesn't look authentic. My guess is you used a digital camera. Digitals are not as good when it comes to looking for orbs because they catch a lot of weird light patterns. Hard to explain....

so I don't think they are real. Keep hunting though you never know when you will catch something. great question.
