I just gave birth a little over a month ago and I breastfeed. After having s*x I started to spot a light pink blood. Well that was 3 days ago and I am still spotting but it is brown which means its old blood. I am not sure if it is my period cause my periods have always been heavy and this flow wont even fill a pad in a day. Wont come close. Or could it be Lochia picking back up from s*x. We had s*x a few days before this last time and it was unprotected. So could it be implantation bleeding. Anyone know something?

  1. Its most likely lochia as the womb takes 6 weeks to heal after giving birth so s*x has probably just dislodged some old blood. Breastfeeding is not an effective contraceptive so you really need to use protection otherwise you might find youself pregnant again very soon. Unless ofcourse your planning on having 2 close together.

  2. if you gave birth less than 53 days ago than it is definitely lochia. i would have to say when you orgasmed it caused your uterus to forcefully contract causing you to expel lochia. it is completely normal.

  3. I probaly just from irritation, your still healing at 6-8 weeks after giving birth. I f you are breastfeeding you may not get your period. However it is not a form of birthcontrol, you can get depo and not hurt your milk production. Unless you want irish twins I would not be having unprotected s*x if I were you. You could take a test but it might be a false positive beacause of hormones still in your body. Good luck!
