To only get certain elements of puberty?...

Please only answer if you've had some experience in this area...whether it be personal or professional experience.

im 18, male 5'4, 109 pounds and 3.5 inches erect...I haven't aged a bit since around the 8th grade. That's how young I look, I can still wear the pants/shirts if I wanted to...I still look the same 4-5 years later. I was wondering if I should go to the doctor about it. I just look way to young/small for my age. All the males in my family are at least 6 feet tall and a healthy weight and...big

I haven't grown a centimeter since the 8th grade...height and width wise...I've actually lost weight since then. From my peak at 115 to 109. I just recently stopped having acne and can grow a little facial hair. I have plenty of hair under the arms and in the genital areas. My voice isn't really that deep...its not like a 13 year old, but definitly not like a mans voice should be.

I'm starting to think there is something wrong. I'm (hopefully) going to the doctors tommorow to ask him about it...I'm not sure I know how to talk to him about it really, I'm kinda self-concious in this area. It just seems like I got the hair part of puberty...but not the height/weight/looks that come with it.

  1. my husband was a very small guy untill he hit about 18 where he grew a bit but he didnt really get to his full height untill he was around 21 and now he is a very tall and lots of muscle. When i say he was small when he was younger i mean as small as you are.  I cant believe the difference in just a few years.  As for the "part" that hasnt gotten much bigger i have no clue what his looked like i didnt get to see it untill he was 20 so i cant help you there, sry.  Im sure everything will turn out fine for you, I dont think guys stop growing untill there mid twenties anyways.

  2. You already know the answer and you are taking the right steps.  Talk to your Dr. and you should feel better.

  3. Talk to your doctor i think your right to be concerned . It seems to be a hormone problem in my opinion . So hopefully you will have a talk with your doctor (dont let him brush you off you are right to be concerned ! ). Hopefully they will tell you whats up . Also eat properly k change your diet around to put on some pounds (dont eat c**p just try to eat real food and healthy stuff .

Good news is that your 18 so theres still time to grow if they give you something for your hormone issues !

If after all the test in world say this is how your meant to be then just love and accept yourself . s***w whatever anyone thinks F stereotypes (date the talls girl ever ) .

Here's some advice from web md

(i tried to find something better just search around that site all your worries and hopefully you will come up with something ).

    Best of luck !

And huge kudos for being brave chances are there are men just like you and maybe asking this question will give them help too !

  4. Everyone matures at their own pace.  My husband didn't have any chest hair until after we had been married for more than five years.  He also grew a bit taller after we were married.   Going to the  doctor should put your mind at rest about this and  he will probably tell you that  in time you will have all the rest of the things you're looking for.  Best of luck.

  5. So your only concern is that you look young and you think that is a medical problem?  I don't think the doctor can do anything to change that ...  I am in my 30's and people think I am under 18 ... I don't know why and it is annoying but I don't consider it to be a medical problem.  I am also short and I can fit into kids clothes and shoes...
