Could this be that women are internally stronger than men?

i didn't mean on physical strength and mental capability, but in terms of inner survival drive. as looking back at what they face:

women - menstruation, first-time intercourse, pregnancy, give birth, labor bleed, child care, breastfeeding, housemaking, and.... make money.

ok and that's not included sexual harassment, s*x abuse yet.

while for most cases,

men - make money. (only)

Women have so much on their hands, childbearing, domestic affairs, housekeeping, multi-tasking, the burden of society's taboos and perception of how to be a "woman" on her shoulders, the burden of childbirth, the disadvantage of not being able to have multiple partners without being accused of being promiscuous...

also doing the bulk of the work (and need to obey the husband as to maintain high-effective marriage) , women have also been regarded as more emotional, weaker, physically more fragile than men, stay at home, rear the children, do the cooking and in some societies, there are still cases where women are worthy of less rights than men are given.

A woman's job is 24/7, 7 days a week and a man's job is 8 hours, 5 days a week.

It is also statistically proven that women do 80 percent of the hard, manual labor in the world. (perhaps not including career activities yet)

so it takes allot of strength to live with this.

also, when it comes to victimization, women&children are the preferred target compared to men.

Yet many religions also state that women are the ones that are more and easier to be tempted by the evil forces.

What is the justification for all this in nature, and why does men seem to be let off so easily?

we often hear "single-mother" though, shows a woman can take care of her life and her children's all by herself, but hardly listen "single-father" coz in most cases, single-father can't stay that single much, where he needs to get a wife pretty soon to do all the things which he can actually do, but pretend he can't.

so, since women had been surviving pretty good under all these burdens and pains, could it be that women are actually made stronger at most points?

  1. I think emotional and psychological fortitude are traits that individuals, not whole genders have. I've met unbelievably strong people of both genders, and I've met very emotionally fragile people of both genders, equally.

  2. I agree with Tracey for once.

Also, your question is incredibly misandrist because it suggests women are better than men in certain aspects. Had a I posted a question asking if men are smarter than women because of the overwhelming evidence, it would have been reported away.

To suggest men cannot endure physical hardship is ridiculous.

Men have fought our wars, worked days on end to build homes, bridges, wells, barns, farms, etc. I know at least 4 men with missing fingers from dangerous work... How many women do you know who have lost body parts while working?

  3. You have Eve to thank for all of the woes women face. That being said it's no picnic being a man either, we face many of the same problems with our spouses. It's a joint effort to raise a family and earn a living and to make a house a home. You may suffer the PMS but it is not unnoticed  by the men, we usually get the brunt of it. We are all in this life together and it's how we deal with it that makes it bearable so don't look at it as if we are uncaring oafs and you all carry the burdens alone, that is simply not the case.

  4. I stand with Tracey on this issue.  Well put.

  5. men don't have so easy, men have to worry that he provides for his family, men have to worry about that they don't talk to women or he'll go to jail, men have to come home to sefish, controlling and violent wives, men have to go to war,men have to worry that society accepts them, most of the time men charged for crime they don't commit. I wouldn't count men out yet.

  6. I think women have internal strength as opposed to physical strength since women experience more in their lifetimes than men will. Women have to deal with menstruation at such a young age, going through labor, occasional harassment from both men and women, menopause, and depression is more common in women than men. Though, when men have depression they usually hit rock bottom according to most psychological studies, which does seem to suggest that women have a stronger willpower.
