Could this be the reason why my shih tzu pup smells?

No where else smells except her face, and thats only after she eats. what im thinking is that, since she has such a little snout, all her hair dips into the food, and sticks to it.

I do wipe her face after she eats, but perhaps the smell stays on it, how can i clean her face so she has no more smell? (i dont think water will work)

Another source of the smell could be her eyes. Our shih tzu, Sophie, had this problem. The long hair gets into their eyes and causes irritation, leading to buildup in the eye area. Regular cleaning should do the trick!

Yes this could be the only reason, try wiping your dogs face with a baby wipe and then water, this wil clear the smell and remove all food.
